Basic Information

Our Alaskan Photo Adventures are a blend of focus and fun: you will receive photography instruction and lots of practice while enjoying everything being in the wilderness has to offer. We will also take day hikes to attain superior views at higher elevations, which won’t require technical skill, just a moderate level of fitness. Gear wise, we recommend bringing a DSLR or any interchangeable lens camera with at least a standard zoom lens. Multiple lenses, ranging from wide angle to telephoto, would be an asset. You would also benefit from bringing a tripod, a polarizing filter, ND filters and maybe even a flash. However, there are no ultimate requirements regarding photo gear. If you have any questions in this respect, you are welcome to email us.

For your day hikes you just need to bring your personal hiking equipment such as clothing, a day pack, sleeping bag and a few other essentials, like a water bottle etc. – we will provide everything else. Please ask if you are not sure. After reserving your spot in one of our courses, we will send you an email with all the necessary information you will need, including a gear list. Please note, the number of participants for each course is limited to eight, so make your reservation for one of the courses as soon as possible via email or phone.
